Recently, the transmission and distribution project of the 110kV substation in Yanshou Yao Township of Rucheng County started construction. This project is the largest single energy infrastructure project in Rucheng County to promote the economy, protect the people's livelihoods, and expand the development of new energy. It is expected to be put into operation in August 2025.
After operation, it will help the Xiaoyuan mining area in Rucheng County achieve integrated production, improve the access conditions of new energy such as wind and photovoltaic power in the southwest area of Rucheng, and enhance the reliability and voltage quality of power supply in the area.
“This project can strengthen the power grid structure, improve the surplus power transmission system, optimize the company’s power purchase structure, and promote the development of the new energy industry in Rucheng. We will work to control the quality, progress, and safety,” said the head of Hunan Chendian International Development Co., Ltd.
The substation will adopt domestically first-class computer monitoring systems and GIS outdoor equipment. After completion, it will become the most intelligent intensive substation in Rucheng County. It’s also one of the specific measures taken by the company to optimize the urban energy structure, upgrade the urban industrial structure, and create an integrated storage of water, wind, solar energy.
In recent years, based on Chenzhou’s water, wind, and solar energy storage, the company has connected photovoltaic and wind power with the local power grid network, promoted the coordinated development of power supply, power grid, load and storage of Chenzhou’s local power grids, and explored new forms of multi-energy complementarity.
